"Yoghurt Pots" - A Zine by Squid

"Yoghurt Pots" is a zine of microscopic stories, including conversations between coats, sweets, tiny people under a baking sun, out of date prawns, emo ads, illustrated puns, and the world's most famous transguy carrot, Mr. Carrot and his mother's irrepressible beagle in three-panel comic-strips.

ZINE FEST @ The Women's Library

Thanks to everyone who came! You're all AWESOME!
Please scroll down for the pics!
They ran out of table space at ZINE FEST so they let us have the run of the canteen!
We laid out the gingham, unfurled a put on our chef hats and became Interactive Monster Cafe!

We loved the idea of presenting our zines, t-shirts, stickers, badges, and mask-making ingredients as if at a deli-counter. There was also a huge piece of paper for people of all ages to draw on.

Thanks to Jack Gobsmob, the food theme went beyond pure metaphor! Anyone passing by the IMU Cafe was immediately seduced by the intoxicating aroma and hypnotic vision of Jack's extravagant baking genius (Colossal Chocolate Cookies, World's Greatest Choco Cake*, Bootiful Banana and Walnut Bread, Ravishing Rock Cake, Blindin' Blueberry Muffins, Sticky Fingers/Brownies - anyone??)

*Really the World's Greatest! Squid had to go in a corner and be ALONE with it. THAT'S how great it was.

Lilies on Mars + Interactive Monster Unit @ Buffalo Bar...

We set up in a cosy little spot deep in the belly of the Buffalo Bar.

International Nobody (Gold) + Squid's (Molten Silver with alien-flower mouth-piece) masks were inspired by a flowers + aliens theme. (Appropriate for Lilies on Mars!)

Lisa Masia (Lilies on Mars) made herself a mask with red flowers and blue guitar..

Some people draw on the backs of the silver masks + during the evening, a noh type hell mask and a kind of intergalactic football stadium for caterpillars appeared, and there was some sticky hands-on wool-bolognaise action (see below!..

"The most beautiful merch table I've seen for a long time." (remarked bar-dude at Buffalo Bar..)

Thanks everyone for coming and taking part.. Enjoy the pics!
